This company is one of the top 3 players in Europe in its sector, manufacturing products that contribute to building sustainable homes, they are designed and manufactured according to a controlled closed loop philosophy that includes a service life of 50 years or more, as well as recycling and reuse at end of life.

They are now looking to a new Operator to join their extrusion team.

You will learn extrusion skills including:
- problem solving, from receiving raw material to the finished product.
- packing extruded profiles to fulfil demand at highest quality standards following correct procedures
- to Start and Shut down Extrusion Machinery
- to record all necessary data on Production Run Sheet, Process Condition Sheet and Daily Log
- to adhere to strict Quality Control and carry out regular inspections as per procedures IE: O.P.C.
- to follow the production work schedule as set out including colours changes, order changes etc in order to meet production deadlines.
- to control Scrap levels to approved minimums, following correct procedures and informing relevant personnel of any issues
- to be able to recognise all materials, profiles and adhere to Product Identification Procedure.

Your duties will also include:
- Maintaining the production department to a high standard adhering to procedures and policies keeping all areas clean, tidy and safe leading to a disciplined work environment.
- Maintain required Logistical procedures complying with correct and safe transportation of Products in accordance to approved procedures/policies.
- To adhere to Health and Safety Policy and observe Safety Manual at all times including use of PPE (Personnel Protective Equipment).
- Communicate all activities and immediately report all Incidents/Accidents or non conformities
- To work with diligence and self development to widen own knowledge of extrusion

The successful candidate will be:

- Conscientious with excellent attention to detail, working to a consistent high standard of work
- Keen to learn with a proactive, positive ‘can do’ attitude
- Self organised, with the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
- Able to make decisions within set parameters to own, manage, and resolve problems
- Interpersonal, with good verbal and written communication skills

Also desirable, but not essential for the role is:
- Previous experience in a packing or production role
- Forklift operating experience

Working Hours:
This role operates a 3 on 3 off rotating shift pattern of 12 hour shifts, the standard working hours are 06:00 – 18:00 (days) and 18:00 – 06:00 (nights).
