An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Production Operative to join this unique leading UK supplier of wire into the cable industry within the UK and Europe.

The main areas of responsibility for the successful applicant will include:

- Operating heavy manufacturing equipment used in the manufacture high end product

- Inspecting, testing and dealing with products manufactured against supplied control parameters

- Warehousing and recording details of products manufactured

- Maintaining work areas and equipment in a clean, tidy and safe condition

During your training period you will be required to work 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 5.00 pm, when the rate of pay will be £8.00 per hour.

Following initial training, you will be required to work a 40 hours week, on a three 8 hour shift pattern, Monday to Friday, 6.00 am to 2.00 pm, 2.00 pm to 10.00 pm and 10.00 pm to 6.00 am, and if required, will work overtime during the week and at weekends. The rate of pay will be £8.90 per hour

Over time you will receive full training in all production areas with a view to you becoming multi skilled and will be appropriately rewarded.

To be considered for the role you will ideally but not essentially

- Have experience of working in a heavy manufacturing environment
- Wire drawing
- Possess a current Fork Lift Truck licence
- Have experience /knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
