UK-based developer and manufacturer of LED and solar powered lighting systems is seeking to recruit for a Production Operative.

The company designs, develops and manufactures intelligent, robust and reliable engineered products suited to a wide range of applications. From LED solutions that lower energy bills and carbon emissions for customers across the world, including custom luminaries for street lighting, amenity lighting, signage and LED commercial lighting solutions; to the design and manufacture of complete solar lighting solutions.

Purpose of the Job:

As part of the production team, you will undertake duties related to the production of the street light luminarie.
Full training will be provided in house on all aspects of the production process (which is divided into 5 different sections).

Duties:
- Preparation of sub-assemblies ready for the cell build
- Wiring of the control units
(full training given and master samples are kept on the cells)
- Achieving daily KPI targets
- Final assembly of the prepared sub-assemblies into a fully completed unit ready for testing and dispatching to the customer
- Scanning and testing each unit using a semi-automated computer system
- The position is that of a standing one, full antistatic and anti-fatigue matts are supplied
- Maintaining a well organised and tidy production area

Would benefit from:
- Being an enthusiastic and hardworking individual with good communication skills in order to fit into a close-knit team environment as part of a rapidly expanding business
- Having previous experience of mechanical assembly within a manufacturing environment, although full training will be given
- Being able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Excellent attendance record is crucial

Reports to: Head of Production
Position: Full time
Travel required: Occasionally
Salary: Living wage with KPI bonuses
Hours: 8.30am – 4.30pm (with overtime available)
