Due to sustained and successful growth, this manufacturer of cement based products is currently recruiting for Production Operatives based in their Leyland plant. The Production Operative role involves heavy lifting during the manufacture of 20kg and 25kg bags of cement based products.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including respiratory mask, high vis vest and hard hat must be worn when carrying out this role - all PPE equipment is provided.

Production Operatives are needed for the evening shift and will cover a range of responsibilities including:

- Packing and check weighing finished products
- Picking and preparing customer orders for dispatch
- Stock control and general warehousing duties
- Maintaining the cleanliness of working areas and warehouses
- Ability to fit into and work in a growing family business
- Assisting with stock control as and when required

Candidates will hold a fork-lift truck license for counter balance fork-lift trucks – this is ideal and not essential.

40 hours per week, this is a permanent position with working hours of 3.15pm – midnight (45 minute break), Monday to Friday.

Ideally the right candidates will live within a 20 minute commuting distance of Leyland near to Chorley, Clayton-le-Woods, Bamber Bridge, Farington, Farington Moss and Preston.

The stated salary is the starting salary which will be reviewed at performance appraisal reviews carried out annually.
