This company is looking for a highly organised and enthusiastic Production Manager to join their family based from their Loughborough plant. This is a multifaceted role involving leads and manages the day-to-day production operations for on time delivery to their customers, while aligning tasks with company policies and procedures.

With the opportunity to have huge ownership over the development of a product, working alongside their engineers to streamline their current manufacturing processes and develop new R&D projects.

Responsibilities:
- Initiates plans and processes which minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials and capital
- Ensures attainment of business objectives, and production schedules while ensuring product
- Standards that meet or exceed their customer’s expectations
- Leads the Production Team in achieving tasks, schedules and goals, utilized effectively and drives improvements.
- Develops a world-class operations organization by providing training, coaching and counselling, and top grading as appropriate
- Ensures general safety, compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and company requirements
- Leads and directs work for team of employees as defined by business needs
- Manages staff selection, performance, development and training processes to ensure team competencies and capabilities to reach the business goals and expectations
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

About you:
- Extensive manufacturing operational experiences
- Proven experience in delivering productivity within a manufacturing environment.
- Good understanding of financial and commercial aspects of operations management
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate and managing diverse teams
- Highly energized and the ability to motivate with a high level of commitment
- Ability to prioritise, demonstrating first class organization skills and time management skills

Desirable:
- Experience in an aerospace, Aviation and or Space industry.
