This company is a market leader in their sector producing a broad range of chemical based products. They have operations on a global basis and are going through a period of considerable expansion. They have a key manufacturing plant in North Wales that supplies the UK market.
The Person
They are looking for a strong leader with a broad manufacturing background. They seek a person who has considerable lean manufacturing/ Six Sigma experience and can demonstrate the achievement of tangible results through the implementation of lean tools and techniques. The ability to communicate effectively at all levels is also important along with extensive experience of using an ERP system. Extensive man management experience is also a pre-requisite along with knowledge of health and safety and environmental requirements. Experience of working in a batch manufacturing environment is also important ideally with chemical manufacturing experience.
The Role
This is a pivotal role at a key manufacturing site. The role reports into the Site Manager and the successful candidate will have autonomy for running production operations across a multi-shift operation. A constant focus on improving operational efficiencies is required as well as leading and developing the team and ensuring the highest levels of Health and Safety at the site. There will also be responsibility for achieving a range of KPI's both production and safety related.
