From their manufacturing facility site based at Campbeltown, Argyll on the west coast of Scotland, this company provides “ready to install” tower solutions for the onshore and offshore wind energy market.
They employ 100 people from Campbeltown and the Kintyre area all of whom are dedicated to providing a high quality service to their valued clients.
Working as part of the quality team, and in close cooperation with the Black Tower, White Tower and Internal Mounting teams, you will support production with the resolution of technical issues.
The successful candidates must have a positive attitude, be organised and able to work in a team and have a practical approach to problem solving in a busy production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support technical reviews for Black Tower, White Tower and Internal Mounting
- Review bill of materials
- Support the updating of engineering change notifications
- Support any technical issues in production
- Support the creation of work instructions
- Support welding coordinator
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- A mechanical engineering background.
- Experience of steel structure manufacturing.
- Experienced with CAD systems.
- Able to read and understand technical drawings.
- Able to make new instructions.
- Excellent planning and organising skills – having an ability to think ahead
- Good attitude to work and good work ethic
- Adaptability, able to use initiative and have attention to detail
- Good communications skills
