Product Manager - Camping Equipment
(Family Tents & Accessories)
A Product Manager is required to join one of the UK’s most successful companies within the Outdoor Leisure sector.
Location - Port Glasgow, Scotland (Head Office)
Package - A remuneration package that rewards results, inclusive of a
Contributory Group Personal Pension Plan & Benefits.
Reporting to the Family Product Team Manager, the Product Manager will be responsible for the management of: -
- Product development, from inception and design through to sampling and delivery, adhering to the critical time paths.
- Sourcing materials & manufacturers, develop & maintain costing models and manage the development process of our brands.
- Clear and accurate timelines that meet and provide the crucial link between the Team and other key Departments, including the training of the Sales Team.
- Delivering range proposals that reflect market trends and customer/consumer needs.
- Supplier visits world-wide; minimum of 3-4 trips per annum (approx. duration/trip of 14 days) and attendance at Trade Exhibitions (minimum 2 events).
This opportunity will appeal to ambitious, resourceful self-starters, who must possess and therefore can demonstrate a working knowledge of the Product Category i.e. Family Camping Equipment including Tents & Accessories.
Ideally, the successful candidate will also have first-hand experience of sourcing in Asia and preferably have an avid interest in Outdoor pursuits, particularly Family Camping.
Your personal attributes will include: -
- Strong negotiation skills and a collaborative attitude
- Superior communication skills
- IT skills within Mac and MOS applications e.g. Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, In-Design, Solid Works and MOS applications (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint).
