Purpose

To maintain accurate product technical specifications and certification for the business. To build and maintain relationships with external test houses and internal customers. To support the business with a technical governance process in order to achieve product compliance.

Responsibilities

1. To accurately maintain technical specifications including the company website and all associated technical marketing material for all style codes.

2. Ensure that document control processes are adhered to in line with ISO 9001 and ISO 17025.

3. Ensure that external testing costs and lead times are minimised. Inspection of the test reports to minimise errors, measure test house performance and report issues.

4. Maintain and update the helpdesk system, implementing improvements in line with ISO 17025. Ensuring customer satisfaction by updating customers regularly with progress, lead times and completion dates therefore improving service levels.

5. Provide accurate customer reports, certificates of conformity and other data requests.

6. Complete in house testing in line with worldwide standards and ISO 17025. Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety procedures, guaranteeing the safety of both self and other laboratory workers.

7. Maintain high standards of housekeeping in the laboratory area ensuring high professional standards are maintained at all times.

8. Prioritise workload in accordance with the required needs of the customer / business including the required accuracy and timescales.

Education / Skills / Knowledge / Experience

Essential to the role
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- An understanding of worldwide standards
- Ability to work to ISO 17025 standards, follow set procedures and routine processes

- Knowledge of textile manufacturing processes
