Specials Procurement Manager - Yeovil
This is an opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading independent builders’ merchants and has been supplying materials to the trade for over 200 years. They have 41 branches throughout the South West, Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire and a turnover in excess of £90m.
They have an exciting new opportunity for a Specials Procurement Manager to join a new team based in Yeovil, Somerset.
What will you be responsible for?
With your team, you will be responsible for managing the efficient processing of all special stock orders from all branches across their network of branches. To source correctly and efficiently, driving margin improvement through market/customer knowledge and superb customer service.
What skills are they looking for?
- A high level of numeracy and literacy.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Leadership skills with the ability to manage a team, drive efficiency, compliance and results
- A great communicator with the ability to present to Area teams on specials procurement and processes
- Ability to build strong relationships with all branches and sales offices
- Knowledge of Building materials and products is essential
- Great working relationship and knowledge of suppliers
- Competent to an intermediate level in Excel, Word and Outlook office applications, or equivalent.
- Full UK driving license
- Willingness to travel to all locations, as required by the business
