This company is a privately held British software development company focused on geographic information systems (GIS) and web mapping software, with a broad portfolio of products, a wide range of UK and international partners, and a diverse user base.
They are currently seeking a GIS Pre-Sales Engineer to join its experienced and skilled sales team. Based in Stevenage, reporting to the Pre-Sales Manager, and ideally with 1-4 years’ experience in the GIS or related industry; the engineer will provide pre-sales support to sales team. The position involves extensive travel in the UK. As part of the team, you will get to work with a wide range of software technologies including their core desktop and web technologies, third-party related software and cloud technologies.
- Educated to degree or Masters level
- A background in GIS or a related discipline
- Have a keen interest in GIS and web mapping technologies
- Candidates should be confident, adaptable and self-motivated
Competencies:
- Experience in the use and application of various Geo technologies
- Knowledge of databases and web services
- Able to demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills across a wide variety of industry sectors
- Ideally some basic programming skills together with some knowledge of front-end web technologies such as JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
