This company is a team of legal experts dedicated to investigating, negotiating and settling a broad range of claims against a wide variety of financial services providers and are looking for a PR and Communications Executive.

Hands-on and reporting directly to the M.D., you will be able to work independently and with little supervision. This exciting opportunity would suit someone who is forward thinking with creative flair.

You will be a PR specialist and a real ideas person having worked either in-house or within a PR agency, have excellent project management skills together with significant experience of creative PR campaigns that you've previously managed and which have increased brand awareness as a result of your coverage.

You will already have relationships with the media and other influencers, spot a great story, write compelling releases and adapt your writing style for everything from articles to letters to blogs and tweets.

In addition, you will be able to keep abreast of current case law and any changes.

You will also have the ability to build new relationships within a wide range of publications/media organisations in order to maximise positive coverage.

Experience of blogging and an understanding of social media is also required as is the ability to understand the importance of digital as well as traditional PR.

If you have the following;

- Experience as a PR specialist for a professional services company e.g. law or finance
- Bachelor’s degree in a related subject
- Excellent organisational, project and time management skills with a proven track record handling multiple complex projects and priorities, meeting deadlines and delivering within budget.
- Experience of ‘wordsmithing’, proofreading and copy-editing, with a strong commitment to accuracy, quality and high standards
- Creative flair, innovative thinking and the ability to interpret and, where necessary, challenge the brief and current processes

Duties will involve;
- A high level of commercial awareness and keep up to date with current case law
- Management of social media, posting content and managing the firm’s brand, keeping abreast of the latest developments and techniques that enable APJ’s social content to stand out from the crowd.
- Ensuring all sector marketing material is accurate and accessible online
- Supporting client communications and identifying the correct target client segment
- Carrying out website modifications, adding lawyers, changing biography photos as well as biographical content
- Watching all competitor activity, law firms online, on television, in print and do it better.
- Being a point of contact for all press enquiries and being able to step up and shut down reporter questions that are unfavourable.
