Policy and Compliance Officer
Maternity Cover (up to 12 months)

Full time 28,000 - 35,200.00 + benefits package

Reporting to the Head of Governance and Legal, this is a key role in ensuring that Board and Committees are supported, that the organisations policies are maintained up to date and that regulatory returns are completed. It is a varied role with exposure to all levels within the organisation, particularly at Board level.

Key responsibilities

- Supporting the Head of Governance in preparing Board and Committee agendas, checking and uploading Board papers and ensuring the smooth running of meetings;
- Taking minutes at Board and Committee meetings;
- Supporting the Heads of Service in reviewing and updating the organisation’s policies including providing advice on legal and regulatory requirements;
- Ensuring the appropriate returns are made on time to Companies House and the Financial Conduct Authority.

About you

- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Experience of working in an office environment and dealing with a range of personnel at different levels within the organisation
- Confident communicator and presenter
- Organised and a good planner
- Good Attention to detail
- Able to manage a high and varied workload
