This company is one of the world’s leading suppliers of traditional warehouse storage equipment and automated logistics systems.

They are currently seeking a PLC Engineer, this is an office based position working with their IT and PLC team offering first line support to their RM sites.

Ideally you will have worked within a similar role, you will have qualifications in this field.

Your duties will include:

- Identify and resolve issues with Programmable logic controller (PLC).
- Design, generate, and maintain reports detailing availability data
- Effectively communicates with customers in high-impact scenarios.
- The role may include travel, both nationally and internationally to attend training, customer meetings or provide on-site support.
- Update help-desk ticketing system to track, monitor, and resolve issues.
- Assist our software development team with projects.
- Work as part of international team to ensure maximum system uptime and performance.

You will ideally have:

- Experience with ladder logic on Siemens Step7 or similar experience.
- Experience with bus systems (ASI-BUS, PROFIBUS, CAN BUS, etc.)
- Experience with different actuators and sensors (SICK sensors, SEW drives, etc.)
- Ability to read, analyse, and interpret technical journals.
- Ability to write technical user and procedure manuals.
- To be able to respond to detailed inquiries or complaints from internal and external customers verbally and in written form.
- To apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations and permutations.
- To apply mathematical operations to such tasks as analysis, frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables in situations where only limited standardisation exists.

This position to start will be Monday - Friday however as the team grows this could become shift based.
