This is a great opportunity for an experienced Plant Supervisor who wants to join a company with ambitious growth plans. This is a new post and one which will play a pivotal role in implementing new processes and developments which will have a significant effect on Company success going forwards.

This company is the leading supplier of unused and reclaimed electrical insulating oils and associated services throughout the UK and parts of Europe.

Purpose:

The key purpose of the role is to take responsibility for all production and warehouse tasks ensuring all that all activities meet Company standards in terms of quality, safety and efficiency. Planning activities are a significant part of the role ensuring that supply meets demand. The Supervisor will deputise for the Site Manager when necessary and also provide relief cover for the QA chemist.

Responsibilities include:

- Ensuring that all percolation plant oil transfers / blends run efficiently together with vehicles being loaded and unloaded, packs filled, decanted and loaded as swiftly and safely as possible and that all activities comply with Company standards.
- Ensuring all associated documentation is completed accurately and to required specifications.
- Day to day management of the team including prioritisation and allocation of work, monitoring progress against KPIs and taking corrective action where necessary, and ensuring overtime is minimised.
- Dealing with problems that arise and liaising with other departments to ensure that excellent service is delivered to their customers.
- Planning of activities and scheduling to ensure deadlines for orders are met and capacity is maximised.
- Training and development of the team including signing off competency, carrying out performance reviews and setting individual targets.
- Ensuring all departmental activities are performed in accordance with Company procedures, quality and safety policies.

Qualifications/Experience:

The successful applicant will have:

- Strong leadership skills gained in a similar environment, preferably with Control Room experience, with the ability to motivate and manage a small team to achieve the highest of standards
- Good problem solving skiils and ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
- A high degree of safety, health and environmental awareness
- Good understanding of the Hazardous Waste Regulations and good waste handling practices
- SAP experience would be useful as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- A flexible and enthusiastic approach to work with a proactive approach to continuous improvement
- To have the skills to be involved in the SHEQ inspection and audit programme.
- Good communication skills and the ability to train and coach others.
- QC experience an advantage

Package includes salary £36-£40k, up to 10% bonus, life assurance, healthcare scheme and pension.
