We have an exciting opportunity for a Placement Officer to join this company, focusing on creating employer relationships and generating meaningful work placement opportunities for their Traineeship learners.

This is a full time role and will include travel within the East Midlands, a driving licence and access to a car is essential.

The Role

You will be engaging and building strong relationships with employers and stakeholders through outbound sales calls and employer visits, securing meaningful work experience placements for existing and future learners, aged 16 to 24, on our Traineeship programmes. You will develop and maintain positive communication links with employers to facilitate progression of current learners onto apprenticeships and other employment opportunities.

You will be working with colleagues across the business to support the development and implementation of innovative marketing, engagement and recruitment strategies for young people, promoting the services available.

The Individual

You will be an excellent communicator, with great communication and presentation skills. You will have had experience of sourcing training and development opportunities with local and regional employers, effectively managing expectations from start to finish. A proven track record of working within a target driven environment.

You will have the ability to maintain confidentiality and boundaries when working with learners and employers. An in-depth understanding of government funded training including Apprenticeships and Traineeships, or experience of working within a similar work based learning organisation would be advantageous.
