This company develops and licenses a range of software solutions, primarily aimed at the US life insurance market and asset management sectors.
Job Role
They are actively looking for a PHP developer to join their small and friendly team in Ipswich.
You will be an experienced PHP developer able to write high quality, clean code. Knowledge of C would be an advantage.
You will be part of a team that is responsible for all aspects of software development - from initial specification through to development, testing and launching.
You will be expected to:
- Design and develop company web-based systems.
- Work with software programmers, integrators, multimedia and web designers.
- Ensure quality of products and services according to standards, processes and procedures.
- Use good programming techniques to ensure a stable web environment.
- Have a good standard of maths and English.
Ideally, you will have the following skills:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience developing commercial applications in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and J Query.
- Good knowledge of VBA.
- Experience with CodeIgniter or another MVC architectures.
The following additional skills would be advantageous:
- Knowledge of C.
- Experience with Git version control.
- Knowledge of MySQL.
- Supporting experience of Windows, Linux, Office.
