I am recruiting for a Personal Assistant for a male disabled client in Southampton, who is about to start a Masters in Visual Communication at Southampton Solent University.
Start: September 2017
Salary: £11.00 per hour

I am physically disabled with Athetoid Cerebral Palsy. I have a vacancy for a personal assistant/ student support worker to join my team. I am also an athlete in the Paralympic sport of Boccia, currently competing as an England Squad player.
This job would be suitable for a fellow student or for someone looking for part time hours.
The job:
- Providing support mainly during evenings and during one day time session, up to a maximum of 15 hours weekly
- Practical support with daily living activities such as shopping, cooking,
- Practical support in assembling specialised materials to enable creative study
- Note taking in lectures/ tutorials and word processing as required
- Accompanying me to and from the university campus, for example, graphics studio, library
- Assisting me to fulfil my Boccia training plan as required [full instructions given]
- Enabling me to be socially active, as I enjoy watching football, going to the theatre and attending concerts/shows
The applicant:
- Key attributes are for applicants to be physically fit, caring, have good communication skills and a great sense of humour.
- Be able to work flexibly week to week as required.
- You will be directly employed by me with the aim of supporting our client in both his day to day independent living and his academic studies.
- You will be given individual training relevant to the skills and knowledge you bring to the role.
