This company is a trusted provider of integrated legal, research and business support solutions to discerning professionals, including law firms and corporate law departments, leading corporations, financial services organisations and professional services firms

They are looking for a Payroll Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis, the role will provide support to the Payroll Team Leader in:

- Delivering payroll services to their Client, and
- The administration of pension arrangements.

Daily responsibilities will include the following;

- Processing, calculation and recharge of overtime.
- Assisting in all payroll processes for their Client in conjunction with third party payroll bureau.
- Processing of season ticket loans.
- Manual adjustments as and when required (e.g. starter and leavers after payroll cut-off).
- General administration duties (e.g. sending out tax forms, updating manual and computerised records).
- Appropriate discretion in handling of confidential employee information.
- Assist in dealing with employee payroll queries.
- Nominal ledger journal posting.
- Assisting with pensions administration.
- Production of various reports as and when required.
- Support PeopleSoft implementation and integration with payroll processes.
- Supporting and deputising for Payroll Team Leader as required.

The successful candidate will have experience in a commercial payroll environment (professional services experience desirable but not essential) along with the following skills and experience;

- Assist in dealing with employee payroll queries.

Personal Success Characteristics
- Knowledge of Ceridian/SDWorx is desirable
- Intermediate Excel and Word is essential
- Able to use initiative
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to follow through tasks

Previous Experience: Experience in a commercial payroll environment
(professional services experience desirable but not essential)

Professional/
Educational Qualification: 5 GCSEs including Maths and English (Grade C and above)

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday 09:00am to 5:30pm
Location: Bristol

Full training will be provided.
