This company is a small long established financial advice firm with ambitious goals to transform into an expanding lifestyle financial planning business. They have an opportunity for someone to join them in a key role to underpin their client service experience and work closely with the managing financial planner to progress their service capabilities as they expand the business.

They are looking for someone who is inspired by providing excellent client service and understands the challenges in delivering quality outcomes in the financial product environment. You should be able to work proactively and act confidently under your own initiative to ensure an effective financial planning service.

The Role:

Responsible for the technical aspects of preparing for client meetings and implementing requirements to meet clients’ protection, investment and retirement needs, including:

- Liaising with product providers
- Obtaining portfolio valuations
- Checking contributions, withdrawals, pension carry forward
- Undertaking financial analysis
- Analysing client circumstances and preparing cash flow analysis
- Researching products to support potential recommendations
- Drafting the financial planner’s recommendation reports
- Ensuring that all client requirements are followed through to the appropriate conclusion
- Managing, recording and monitoring client annual reviews, requirements and ad hoc needs.

Minimum Qualifications: A QCF Level 4 qualification in financial planning or progress towards with serious intentions to complete.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Essential:
- A high standard of verbal and written communication
- Professional manner
- Good IT skills, particularly Word and Excel
- Ability to apply knowledge of the personal taxation framework
- Understanding of cash flow modelling
- Ability to prioritise and organise own workload
- Willingness to continue professional development
- Attention to detail and pride in accuracy of work
- Sense of responsibility and ownership in getting things done

- Willingness to continue to develop knowledge of financial planning methods and solutions through formal and informal learning, both internally and externally
- Commitment to study and pass 2 exams a year to reach Level 4, if not already attained.
