There is the very real prospect for this role to convert into a training contract once you have been in the post for 6 months.

You are:
A bright, enthusiastic, graduate-level candidate with approximately two years’ experience of working with debt recovery claims which are defended by the debtor. Ideally you have experience of working on the side of the claimant, but you may instead be proficient in working on the Debtor side.

You like to be busy and are serious about your career.

If you have the LPC you may be hoping for a training contract; we like to recruit from within and there is the very real prospect of this role converting within 6 months.

You Have:
- 2+ years’ experience working in Debt Recovery Litigation handling your own caseload
- GCSE at grades A-C in Mathematics and English (or equivalent)
- ILEX Legal Executive Diploma Level 3 or above or qualifying law degree (desirable)
- Legal Practice Course (desirable)

You will:
Manage a caseload of files from start to finish, from the point of being notified that a claim is being defended to obtaining judgements/settlement, with the aim of recovering money for clients.

Your day-to-day will include reviewing and assessing cases for liability; gathering additional documentation as required, including the preparation of witness statements; filing papers to the court service, using standard forms and documentation; instructing Counsel; and ensuring timely service of judgements to the defendants.
