One of the leading Train Engineering Businesses in the UK is looking for highly experienced qualified Panelbeaters to support the new long term contracts they have recently won.
As a business they pride themselves on the quality of their work. They offer a comprehensive range of refurbishment, maintenance, overhaul and repair services to the UK rail sector, providing services on passenger trains and specialist infrastructure vehicles.
Based in Kilmarnock, they employ over 70 people in their 4 road, 14 vehicle capacity depot and much of the work they do involves extensive safety critical activity where ensuring compliance with rail industry standards is essential, requiring the implementation and maintenance of all necessary processes and competencies to ensure a quality finish to any train leaving their premises.
The main purpose of these roles will be the inspection, repair, refurbishment, renovation and maintenance of train vehicle bodywork and components and having experience in this field or other vehicle repairs would be ideal
About the role…..
- Inspecting bodywork, documenting and repair
- Corrosion repairs
- Inspection removal and repair of internal and external paneling
- Stripping out and installation of components
- Refurbishment of train components
- Use of hand, power and air tools
