This is an opportunity to join an established business that specialises in antique and bespoke fireplaces in the luxury sector. The same two directors also own a property development company which is currently building a large residential home for resale in Wimbledon.
They are looking for a new member for their team, for an exciting role working across the two businesses, based in a bright and fun office in New Malden. This role is varied and demanding and will suit an ambitious candidate with a organised and resourceful nature and impeccable attention to detail.
Duties would include:
- Global stock procurement
- Managing stock levels
- Cataloguing stock items on company website
- Photoshop work and organising photography
- Logistics - shipping/import etc
- Issuing RAMS, booking travel etc
- Assisting with enquiries, occasionally meeting clients
- Product sourcing
- Occasional site visits and/or delivery of items to site
- General filing, office organisation and other tasks
- In addition to the above, there will be an element of PA assistance required to the two company directors to help order their professional & personal lives.
Prospective applicants must:
- Have a minimum of 4 years PA/Office Manager experience
- Have superb organisational & communication skills
- Have a positive attitude & a flexible approach to work, with a willingness to help out where necessary
- Have good time management skills, and be able to multi task & have a keen interest in working within a small business
- Be able to stay calm under pressure and meet deadlines that are set
- Have excellent written and oral communication skills – you will often be speaking to clients on the phone and face to face
- Have a high level of discretion and professionalism
- Be thorough and have very good attention to detail
- Be prepared to be assertive where necessary
- Have good web research skills
- Be wanting full time employment for an extended period of time
- Have a full driving licence and ideally a car
- Have full understanding of internet search engines, Microsoft Office & Outlook, Adobe Photoshop & any other design software (training available if not). The successful applicant may also be required to learn basic AutoCAD, tuition will be given.
Salary, working hours and other info:
- Location: New Malden
- Contract type: Permanent
- Salary: circa £28k-£35k per annum, salary negotiable depending on experience.
- Hours: Full time Monday – Friday. 40 working hours per week - Probably 9am – 5.30pm, including a 30 minute (non-paid) lunch break
- Benefits: Holiday days/pension/free parking/professional development
- Due to the nature of the business, there may be times when the successful applicant would be required to reply to work related SMS/WhatsApp messages out of hours.
- The occasional meeting may be required on Saturdays, however this is very rare. Any time accrued on weekends would be able to be taken in lieu during the working week.
