They have an exciting new opportunity to join the Purchasing team here in Marden. This position is for an Operative Buyer liaising with new & existing suppliers and manufacturers, being a pivotal link to other departments and supplier relationships.
As well as enjoying seeing results achieved and being ambitious, the successful candidate for this important role must have the skills to support the following functions;
- Maintenance of existing supplier commercial relationships
- Commercial awareness
- The investigation of potential commercial improvements
- Supplier and trade show visits including international travel.
- Patent awareness
- Warranty issues and concerns
- OE sample management support
Essential criteria:
- Previous experience in Procurement, planning or purchasing
The following characteristics are preferable:
- High level of Microsoft office skills
- SAP knowledge
