Operations Team Leader

In this position you will be responsible for ensuring that your mailing team’s processing of ‘Goods’ in Mail centre is in line with the companies value proposition, assuring a quality service in a healthy work environment. You will also seek to improve the efficiency of hand work processes and maximize work rate of our employees, whilst maximising the use of temporary labour. The successful applicant will report to the Operations Manager.

Your Tasks

- Support the departments Supervisor/Manager in terms of daily resources management (staff) ad work prioritisation
- All volumes are processed in a timely fashion, according to their service standards
- All volumes are sorted, franked, bagged and dispatched correctly, according to quality standards
- Ensure that the processing team is trained and working towards the target set by the company.
- Assist in projects if requested
- Provides reports as requested to Operations Manager
- Work closely with other members of the Operations Team to assure an overall safe and pleasant work environment, promoting team work

Your Profile

- You are honest, reliable and have a strong work ethic
- Have excellent attention to detail and take pride in your work
- You will have a good financial understanding of the businesses activity, excellent English communication skills and are willing to follow manual and computer led tasks
- You have shift flexibility (be able to work late shift if required – 13.00 to 21.30pm shift)
- You constantly look for improvements and have a critical view towards the processes and systems
- Be a team player who is willing to provide cover for other Operations management/supervisory team members when required
- You have good organisational skills, and therefore can manage time effectively to complete workloads and meet deadlines
