Salary up to £30,000.00pa

This company is a name that is renowned amongst retailers and caterers throughout the North, as the region’s foremost independent Cash and Carry and proud owner of one of the country’s fastest growing symbol groups. They are looking for highly motivated senior managers, who aspire to provide an industry leading customer service experience at each of their six sites across the north of the UK.

They have a very exciting long term strategy planned for their Company and they are looking for an individual with proven business and commercial acumen, ideally with cash and carry industry or strong retail/supermarket management experience, to be influential within depot to implement this strategy.

Working on a 5 out of 7 day rota basis and occasional unsocial hours, the role of an Operations/Supply Chain Manager is not for the feint hearted. You will be part of the Depot Senior Management Team, reporting into its General Manager, ensuring that your depot and your team provide exceptional customer service, the highest levels of availability and achieve sales growth targets. You will be accountable for the day to day running of the depot, carrying out daily floor inspections and prioritising and delegating tasks.

Managing a team of people you will be able to:

- Deliver excellent, best in class customer service and have the ability to talk to customers with ease
- Manage the depot space to ensure fill levels are maximised and promotions are effectively displayed
- Demand and maintain the highest standards of stock replenishment and availability
- Communicate with your team at depot and liaise effectively with Head Office Buying teams to ensure delivery deadlines are met and stock files are maintained
- Provide compliance to due diligence checks, legal requirements and Company policies

You must

- Be able to lead by example, develop and encourage your team to provide best in class depot standards
- Have excellent communication skills and be confident when facing challenging situations
- Provide working knowledge of the retail / wholesale channel
- Demonstrate working flexibility and leadership as part of the depot Senior Management team
- Be commercially savvy, with a capability to maximise the financial performance of the depot
- Have good IT skills and experience of computerised stock control systems
