This is a charitable organisation which has a profound spiritual philosophy with an emphasis on bringing the ‘infinite love of the spirit’ right down into physical matter through healing, unfoldment and meditation. Founded in 1936 it is a registered charity which employs 17 staff at its headquarters in Liss, Hampshire.

Job Purpose:
- To lead on the operational aspects of the organisation and ensure the strategic objectives as agreed by the trustees, with the lodge & ministerial input, are implemented
- To ensure the work of the organisation and its outputs are consistent with its charitable objectives and its ethos
- To ensure that all legal and financial processes are in compliance with legislation and audit requirement.
- To be responsible for creating and maintaining a safe environment for staff, volunteers, service users and visitors
- To provide high level oversight of budgets, planning processes and progress on outputs and strategic projects so as to meet objectives in a cost-efficient way
- To lead and embed a change management process within the organisation to:
o Reduce hierarchy
o Build on existing examples of cooperative team-working
o Empower staff
o Promote greater integration and cohesion between the spiritual and administrative functions of the charity
o Facilitate succession planning including readying the organisation for the planned handover of the lodge role and for a number of posts that are nearing retirement
- To encourage an organisational culture of coaching, mentoring and skill-sharing
-To create an open, honest, supportive, empowering, positive, future-focused, can-do culture.

You will have the flexibility to adapt your style to the organisational needs and deliver change through inspirational and strategic leadership; effective communication skills; coaching and mentoring; and leading by example.

With relevant work experience in a similar role you will work with trustees, staff and volunteers to help formulate and deliver the change processes; and increase the efficiency of the work processes of the charity.

You will provide leadership alongside their trustees, the lodge and ministers ensuring the charity is well governed and compliant with all legal/regulatory requirements, help set/define strategic objectives and values supporting the charity’s mission, oversee the management, financial performance and risk management of the charity.
