Operations Manager
This is a great opportunity for an excellent career in a modern well-resourced high volume manufacturing business. With state of the art automated equipment they need an experienced Operations Manager who has been closely involved with modern kit, lean manufacturing and good manufacturing practice.
Reporting to the Factory Manager and managing a small dedicated team they are looking for someone with the right skill-set in volume manufacturing. This could be automotive, modern chemical or pharmaceutical, electronic, food and beverage or other FMCG sectors that have gone down the route of high automation.
Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for production operations.
- Schedule and allocate work to the team to ensure full plant utilisation.
- Commission new capital equipment and continually look at ways to improve efficiencies.
- Ensure full legal compliance across operations.
- Delivering training packages to support team development.
- Lead/facilitate cross function improvement groups in problem solving/route cause analysis and initiatives.
- Support the teams in achieving targets in the areas of Safety, Volume, Cost and Quality etc.
- Ensure Quality, waste and efficiency targets are met by working as an integral part of management.
- Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times by all staff.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role within a modern manufacturing or processing business with a culture of world-class manufacturing
- Proven track record of delivering results
- Proven experience of developing and motivating teams
- Numerate with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
