The Candidate

The successful candidate must be able to operate at all levels from the customer service phone calls to the board meetings. They are looking for someone with first class organisational skills, ability to get your hands dirty when needed and also think strategically when necessary

Responsibilities

Operations

- Overall accountability for delivery of screenings and DBS checks and customer service against service level agreements
- To lead day to day operations through the team, ensuring completion of work is accurate, efficient and cost effective to meet business plans within established budget and timescales
- Recommend alternative work methods, procedures, controls and staffing when required
- Ensure that all processes and functions operate to an appropriate level of business control and audit and that staff operate in accordance to the core processes
- Drive continuous improvements across all areas of the software and automation capacities of the business
- Supporting the growth of all aspects of the business and services provided to ensure company profitability
- Accountable for annual budgeting and forecasting
- Oversee the key areas of employee screening and DBS checking from initiation to countersigning
- Ensuring incoming screenings and DBS checks are undertaken in line with client requirements
- Ensuring processes are fit for purpose and streamlined by carrying out regular reviews with the team
- Ensuring any subcontractors used, particularly software providers are in line with values and to act in any situation where this is not the case
- Oversee the IT function, to ensure the infrastructure is fit for purpose
- Ensuring processes are fit for purpose and streamlined by carrying out regular reviews with staff
- Accountable for ensuring there is a strong IT strategy which supports the overall business objectives
- Ensuring the production of accurate and timely reports are produced in accordance of the needs of the business
- Oversee general business activities and legal compliance/aspects of the business in close collaboration with the Managing Director
