Online ‘Trade Counter’ Sales Adviser

Are you practical, have general knowledge of house construction and able to communicate effectively? If so, you might be a great fit for this fabulous opportunity.

The company, an online distributor of heating and ventilation products, are looking for someone to:
- Answer trade and retail customer enquiries via email, phone and online Chat,
- Assist with the day to day running of the business
- Undertake light general warehouse duties

The position would ideally suit someone who has at least 2 years’ experience advising trade and retail customers on plumbing, electrical or general building products or has a similar role dealing with other technical products. As this is an online business, an interest in computing and the online world is essential as it is envisaged that there will be opportunity to develop in the role.

What you’ll be doing… Role and Responsibilities:
- Customer Advice – answer enquiries via telephone, emails and online.
- Warehouse – picking and packing orders and general
warehouse organisation
- Providing customers with advice and guidance on product selection
- Processing quotes and establishing a good relationship with customers
- Basic website updates and maintenance – training will be given
- Carrying out other tasks and duties as required

What You’ll need… Skills and Experience
- An effective communicator with excellent written and spoken English and a good telephone manner
- Experience of providing great customer service and maintaining rapport with clients and colleagues
- Practical - experience within the building trade with an understanding of house construction principles.
- IT skills – computer literate and a competent computer user
- Good numerical skills
- Physically fit
- Exceptional personal organisation and a keen eye for detail
- Knowledge of basic electrical installation principles would be an advantage

What You’ll Get… The package includes:
- This is a full-time position Mon – Fri 8.30am – 5.30pm
- Salary: £18 – £23k per annum – depending on experience
- 24 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
- Auto enrolment pension
- Product specific training will be given in full.
