To carry out tasks to support the warehouse in ensuring customer deliveries are loaded / unloaded in a timely manner, yarn is packed to the; correct height, weight and cone configuration. Also, machines are lubricated to the maintenance plans and schedules to prevent breakdowns.
Key Tasks and Accountabilities:
- Ensure roller ends are oiled in accordance with instruction and maintenance schedule.
- Loading the daily requirements of pallets on to internal or external transport for customers and others.
- Packing cones onto pallets as instructed e.g. dividers, cone configuration and shrink wrapping.
- Cleaning around and under the machine when required.
- Opening and closing the guards on the interlocking system.
- Ensuring oil cans stored correctly
- Reporting damaged machinery wire to the supervisor.
- Other ad hoc duties.
Knowledge and aptitudes required:
- Experience of woollen textiles.
- Knowledge and experience of loading and unloading road side
- Up to date Forklift truck licence
- The capability to work on own initiative.
- Excellent Health and Safety awareness.
