This is an opportunity to join a family owned global supplier of world class, luxury furniture business. They have been trading for over 40 years to high end retailers & specialists within the UK and Ireland. They have been involved with major hotel projects such as the Burj Al Arab; iconic landmarks such as the Houses of Parliament; and work with leading UK and European retailers, including Harrods, Furniture Village, DFS, Sofology and Fabb Sofas.

About the role:

Typical work activities will include:

- First point of contact for all phone enquiries, managing day to day sales enquiries and requests the retail side of the business by phone and email

- Liaising with customers and suppliers to ensure all enquiries are dealt with in a timely and satisfactory manner

- Providing ad hoc support and assistance to their National Sales Manager

- Provide admin support to the Customer Services Director when the Customer Services Manager is absent

- Inputting orders to their IT system; booking in deliveries to warehouses and customer homes & liaising with their logistics and warehouse managers

- Organising and managing the paperwork & travel/accommodation relating to the deliveries

- Monitoring stock levels and notifying the Senior Administrator of any foreseen shortages

- Maintaining and updating customer databases

- Updating the retail product on their website as required

- Providing images, swatches, and catalogues to customers as required

- Ordering Stationery, managing the post

- Meeting, greeting and organising tea and coffee for visitors

As well as supplying to retailers, they open their showrooms on five Saturday’s each year and hold fantastic factory clearance sales. They expect all of their team to be involved in and attend 4 of these events.

About you:

- Ideally a quick thinker & pragmatic, you must be able to prioritise conflicting demands and stay on top of an ever-changing workload, using excellent organisational skills.

- A confident individual who is able to quickly build rapport with their customers, and deliver prompt and efficient resolution of their enquiries

- Able to demonstrate experience of working in a team environment, to the highest standards and to deadlines

- A strong, positive communicator and negotiator.

- A positive attitude and a passion for great customer experience

- Excellent written and spoken English

- Understanding or desire to learn about furniture retail

- 2+ years’ experience in a sales administration role or ideally degree educated.

- Competent user of MS Office, and may even have some experience of Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision)

- Interest in fashion, textiles, furniture and design would be an advantage as you will be dealing with customer enquiries
