This company works closely with suppliers around the world, to supply UK and EU businesses with locally grown and imported specialty fresh produce. You will provide quality administration support to the admin and sales teams working to tight deadlines.

With the business having growth year on year, they are seeking an experienced Accounts Administrator to join their accounts & administration team; you will play a key role in the organisation and management of the day to day functioning of the finance and admin department.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

- Manage the accounts and administration team
- Undertake and maintain all aspects of General Ledger including posting journals
- Perform weekly / monthly / annual system routine which includes balancing the lot based system against the general ledger, closing and opening of weekly, monthly & annual periods. Investigate differences arising. Including working with external accountants to complete year end journals
- Reconciliation and management of all bank accounts including petty cash / credit cards
- Purchase foreign currency on forward contracts and spot buying.
- Set daily exchange rate for the sales and procurement teams. Oversee and support them with all transactions that use foreign currency
- Process statutory returns and submissions, includes VAT, PAYE and Intrastat to the revenue office.
- Submit monthly payroll to external accountants
- Oversee & support all aspects of Sales ledger ensuring strong credit control and customer care.
- Oversee & support all aspects of Purchase Ledger ensuring suppliers are paid in a timely manner. Undertake some areas of this yourself including check / match / post / pay purchase invoices
- Provide Financial support to directors and General Manager

Previous experience in an accounts management role.
Accounting and/or bookkeeping training or qualifications
Organised with the ability to multitask and self-prioritize
Excellent communication skills with the ability to support and work within a team
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
GCSE - Grade A* to C or equivalent minimum

Computer Skills:

Experience in using Management accounting packages
MS Office including outlook, Word, Access & Excel (V Lookups, Pivot Tables & Macros)

Full time position to start at 8 am must be flexible to work at other company office locations when required.
