The group operates a global network with some 500 offices in more than 80 countries, and employs around 14,000 people worldwide.

They are looking to hire a Ocean Imports Co-ordinator within their Perishables Department to provide and ensure operational excellence, high productivity and customer satisfaction;

Responsibilities

- Control and audit of pre alerts
- Interface with PA houses
- Interface with M&S / Finance
- Quality of SOP application / data
- Data Quality for file transfer to DP
- Customs compliance (including of ERTS facility)
- Initiate data entry
- Ad hoc quotes
- Follow M&S SOP’s
- Receipt & Verification of Documents.
- Initiate manual job costing (Ins & Outs)
- Update tracking systems
- Contact customers with arrival information
- Transport coordination from ports and/or transferring cargo from airlines
- Creating customs records
- Creating PEACH records
- Completing CED’s
- Arranging delivery and check financial terms
- Ensuring any customer specific freight re-work is fulfilled
- Completing job costing
- Follow customer SOP’s
- Update/complete job costing (ins & outs)
- Raise duty/VAT invoices and collect funds (no credit on duty/VAT)
- Filing
- Action queries

Qualifications/Experience

- Functional experience in Perishables would be highly desirable
- Functional experience in Ocean Imports
- Commercial experience
- Strong administration skills
- Knowledge of freight software tools
- Ability to follow processes
