This partnership of several social enterprises is currently recruiting across all Merseyside sites for experienced and new-to-post Nursery Room Leaders who will work with and support existing or new management teams and supervise junior and senior nursery practitioners in their room.

There are posts available for Babies (0-2), Toddlers (2-3) and Pre-Schools (3-5) at several nurseries in our group.

This post is full time and it is hoped candidates will be able to start early 2018.

The salary starts at £15,912 for a junior deputy to £18,616 for the full manager. Wages are inclusive of projected bonuses and thus are on-target-earnings

The post comes with an NHS Discount Scheme and a pension as well as other benefits.

Interview dates are spread throughout early January 2018 although some could be arranged in before Christmas at request.

Reports to: Nursery / Deputy Manager

Purpose of Post:

To work under the direction of the manager.
To support the aims and objectives of the Nursery and assist the manager in the organisation of a high quality establishment for the children from birth to five years
To provide high standards of childcare and education – to include the monitoring and reviews of provision, this includes providing a safe, caring environment to enable the emotional, social and educational development of children, through individual attention and group activities.
To direct and support staff as agreed by the nursery manager.

Key Accountabilities:

- To promote the aims and objectives of the nursery.
- To promote the high standards of the nursery at all times to parents/carers, staff and visitors.
- To ensure the provision of high standards of physical and emotional care.
- To lead a team of nursery staff operating to the highest professional standards and to ensure good practice at all times.
- To take a leadership role within your room ensuring all requirements are met including staffing, risk assessments, planning.
- To assist the manager and deputy in setting and implementing objectives and policy for the nursery.
- To assist with the development and implementation of systems to monitor and record child development.
- To assist with the preparation and maintenance of materials and equipment.
- To ensure the provision of a high quality environment to meet the needs of individual children from differing cultures, religious backgrounds and stages of development.
- To ensure that visitors can see high quality and practise within your room at all times.
- To attend monthly staff/planning meetings and training sessions outside working hours.
- Contribute to continuous improvement e.g. the SEF room reviews and audits.
