This nursery is looking for a passionate and caring Room Leader to work as part of their management team providing professional leadership and management to the playroom staff and ensuring that all children receive the highest standards of care and education. The role will involve taking on the day to day management of one of their three age groups (Baby, Toddler, Pre-school) with the successful candidate working with the children on a hands-on basis.

Our ideal candidate will have:

- A passion for working with children
- 3 years (or more) experience working in a childcare setting
- SCQF level 7 qualification (e.g. HNC, SVQ3) in Childcare and Education
- SSSC registration
- Team focused
- Strong communication skills

What do you have to achieve?

- Ensure high standards of care and education
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Ensure positive relationships with staff, parents and carers
- Provide leadership and support to playroom staff to enable them to establish and maintain positive working relationships.
- Ensure that the relevant curriculum is being followed to a high standard
- Develop the environment within the room and the nursery as a whole

They are an independently-run private day nursery, opened in 2016 with space for 70 children. They provide a positive and friendly environment in which enthusiastic, committed and skilled professionals are sure to flourish. To work with them, as well as meeting all their stringent criteria, you will need to love caring for children as you guide each individual on their way to becoming an active learner.

Note

This is a full-time position working 38 hours per week. Hours are generally worked over 4 days with a flexible day off each week.
