Please note that preference will be given to applicants residing in North Manchester.

They have a non-residential caretaker who will split their time between two multi storey blocks. You will work 35 hours per week Monday to Friday 08.00am to 4.00pm. Some Saturday working (minor set tasks) may be required for which appropriate remuneration will be paid. You must be able to travel between two sites and have the appropriate means to do so.

As a caretaker you will be responsible for the day-to-day cleaning and general upkeep of your high rise housing schemes. You will also be required to manage all public areas to ensure they are clean, safe for their residents and visitors and do not present a fire hazard or other liability to the organisation. Fire safety is extremely important and you will continually assess potential fire risks and act accordingly.

You will be expected to deliver high quality day-to-day cleaning of all communal areas within the buildings and maintain external areas such as the gardens and car park area. You will be required to manage health and safety issues both on a planned and reactive basis and identify report and follow up repairs as required. You MUST be able to accurately and consistently record your checks and findings and escalate issues to managers if required

As the first point of contact with our residents, it's essential that you're friendly and approachable. You'll need experience of cleaning methods and practices as well as a reasonable knowledge of health and safety. Careful and reliable, they will expect you to be punctual and work with minimum supervision to provide a high quality, responsive and customer-focused service to our tenants.
