They have an exciting new role as a New Tenancy Support Coordinator to be based at Hexagon Tower but will involve local travel to conduct home visits to their new tenants.

Your main responsibility will be to support new tenants who are deemed to be a risk of their tenancy not being sustained and to assist them in the “settling in” process in their new home.

You will work closely with these new tenants helping them to focus on their strengths, encourage them and identify the skills and tools needed to successfully manage their tenancy now and in the future. This will be achieved by face to face contact (including home visits), telephone advice and guidance, introductions to relevant services and the creation of a plan to identify and achieve the steps needed to manage a successful tenancy.

You will develop strong relationships with partners, external agencies and colleagues delivering results through collaborative working. You will be highly organised and be able to work autonomously, managing your own caseload and developing individual tailored plans with defined and realistic outcomes for your clients.

With experience of working in a customer-focused environment with a proven ability to deliver a high standard of customer service this is a challenging yet rewarding role ensuring your clients receive the help and support they need to sustain their tenancy and prevent homelessness.

An understanding of welfare reform, benefits and pathways into training and employment is essential for this role and you must be able to communicate effectively with a range of people with empathy and a coaching approach.

A full driving licence and access to a car is essential for this role to travel round North Manchester on a daily basis.
