This leading UK based game development company is currently recruiting a Network and Systems Administrator to join their IT support team. You will be required to demonstrate a high degree of technical ability in order to deliver 1st class support for a variety of technologies and applications.

The key responsibilities of the role below:
- Windows Server support
- Development team support
- Assisting with technology planning
- Testing applications for environmental compatibility
- Take a lead in Sever and Network projects
- Maintaining and updating systems and databases
- Liaise with vendors to resolve equipment issues

Implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting:
- Watchguard firewalls (XTM/UTM)
- Active Directory
- VMware vSphere
- Load balancers (Kemp, F5)
- IP routing and switching
- SNMP and monitoring platform such as Zabbix
- VPNs (IPSEC client and site-to-site)
- DNS (A records, CNAMES, MX records, Authority Section, TTL values.)

Requirements
- Hands-on technical experience of networking and network security
- A strong understanding of Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, Active Directory, IIS, SQL)
- Ability to apply sound troubleshooting methodology in order to isolate and resolve root cause of reported issues.
- Experience of architecting and managing production environments across Physical, Virtualised and Cloud technologies
- Experience of implementing and troubleshooting VPN clients and site-to-site VPN connections
- Experience of implementing and troubleshooting layer7 technologies
- Experience of implementing and troubleshooting firewall configurations (ASA/XTM)
- Experience of applications such as Wireshark and TCPDUMP, ADSM/WSM.
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP.
- Advanced understanding of IOS, VLAN, STP, routing and switches technologies.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with great attention to detail.

Desirable
- Industry qualifications such as MCSE desirable.
- Technical certification (CCNA/Watchguard other vendor)
- Experience of Windows and SQL Clustering.
- Experience of hosting web applications across a wide variety of Webserver and Database technologies. Apache, NGINX, MongoDB, Oracle or MySQL.
- PowerShell scripting or other versatile scripting language is desirable.
- Advanced Linux knowledge/experience
- 5+ years in a similar role
