They have an exciting opportunity for 2 Neighbourhood Housing Officers (NHO). As an NHO, you will have the ability to really help the community grow, to become a better place to live and benefit from the satisfaction of making a difference.

This exciting role gives you the opportunity to really make an impact; tackling anti-social behaviour head on, supporting people to manage their tenancies and improving the look of their estates. You will achieve this by building solid relationships in the community, working closely with the tenants and their families.

As a natural problem solver, you will be a main contact for their customers, signposting and giving general advice. You will be a strong team player as well as confident and productive when working alone. You must have an enquiring mind and want to make a difference.

Applicants will work closely with colleagues internally, such as the Community Safety Team and externally with partners such as Greater Manchester Police, the City Council and support agencies. You will need to be an excellent communicator, approachable, friendly and when required, assertive and knowledgeable.

You will work closely with the Design & Delivery Team, caretaking Team and Resident Liaison Officer in their delivery of the retrofit sprinkler project.

Responsible for enforcing the terms of the tenancy agreement; including providing tenants with accurate and appropriate advice about their rights and responsibilities in relation to their tenancy agreement (particularly around property condition information) and where necessary providing professional and good quality information to the Community Safety Team to enable legal action to be taken where necessary. Using your problem solving skills you will assist vulnerable residents across the multi-storey blocks who may be affected by the project work to ensure a successful outcome in delivery of the scheme.

You must have a full driving licence as access to a car is required on a daily basis
