Job Details:

- Permanent – Full-Time 43½ hours Monday to Friday (day-shift)
- 23 days holiday plus 8 bank holiday

They require a Multi-skilled Production Engineer with an Electrical bias to join their busy, fast paced, maintenance team to carry out:
- Planned preventative maintenance activities as scheduled.
- Effective reactionary engineering response to plant and equipment breakdowns.
- Involvement in projects as required, including the introduction of new plant and equipment.

What you’ll need to display:
- Experience of FMCG, Manufacturing or Production environment
- Great communication
- Proven diagnostic experience
- Ability to work as part of a dynamic, fast paced environment.
- Previous working experience within a wood working industry would be an advantage.
- Must hold recognised electrical qualifications - BS 7671 17th edition, City & Guilds or equivalent
- Must be flexible, self-motivated, and be able to investigate, troubleshoot, locate and repair faults.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision, independently and as part of a team.

The Role:
You will be responsible for making sure production plant and equipment runs smoothly in a wood working environment, working alongside the maintenance team and liaising with management when planning repairs.
- You will be responsible for all electrical repairs.
- Assisting in site general maintenance, including metalwork fabrication if required.
- Liaising with offsite engineers / contractors when planning repairs.
- Respond to machinery breakdowns and repair quickly & efficiently.
- Keeping all equipment in good safe working order.
- Plan and carry out planned preventative maintenance on all plant equipment, aiming to achieve maximum plant availability.
- Ensuring consumable spares are kept in stock.
- Servicing and maintaining a log of all repairs and service records.
- Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment.
- Ensuring health & safety regulations are followed.
