Maintenance Engineer – Multi Skilled (Manufacturing)

Position: Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Rotherham
Salary: £32,000 per annum plus company van, 10% bonus, pension scheme

The Role:
They are now seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to become part of the Asset Care team.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Regional Coordinator in assessing maintenance and equipment performance to develop a predictive and proactive plan in order to improve production and reduce costs.
- Responding to equipment faults and breakdowns and dealing with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs in a timely manner.
- To diagnosing breakdown problems and suggest and implement an improvement programme to eliminate recurring faults.
- To fit new parts and make sure equipment is working correctly.
- Carry out quality inspections on jobs carried out to ensure optimum efficiency of an asset.
- Ensure that any significant downtime on assets is logged for continuous improvement purposes.
- Support the production teams in reviewing operating standards, line speeds, quality, yields and work with the operations and production teams to identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop a full understanding of all machines within their business to ensure speedy proactive maintenance at all times.

The Candidate:
The successful candidate will ideally be an apprentice trained, Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer and will have experience within a manufacturing background. You should have experience of planned and preventative maintenance of specialist machinery and knowledge and experience of TPM systems. Welding experience is also advantageous. You will be a qualified Electrician for industrial machinery and be prepared to work out of hours / shifts.
