This is an opportunity for a mixer supervisor to join a global building and construction materials manufacturer, that provides high-quality products and reliable service to customers and communities in more than 41 countries throughout the world. This company specialises in the development of professional sealants, adhesives, fillers and passive fire protection products for almost any substrate or application.

Responsibilities:
- To supervise the manufacture and testing of products within the mixing area and the movement and changing of pots within the filling/packing area.
- To ensure a continuous supply of product and efficient and timely pot changes to the filling/packing areas.
- To ensure the safe and efficient use of all company resources in conjunction with Production Planning Manager, to include machinery, labour and man hours within the mixing area.
- To work with fellow Supervisors and Senior Mixer Operatives to provide cover and allow continuity during sickness, holiday and absence in the mixing area. 
- To liaise when necessary with customers, suppliers and colleagues, to maintain and update all necessary records using manual and computerised systems, compiling.
- To ensure that quality of product is maintained and that all procedures relating to presentation, identification, storage and transportation are followed as per laid down procedures and practices.
- To ensure that the mixing functions are operating efficiently and to work closely with the Supervisor, Senior Mixing Operative and Engineers to continually improve the efficiency of the mixing unit through new procedures and working practices.

Skills and abilities:
- Ideally, they are looking for someone who has been involved in mixing batches of sealant and the supervision of batches.
- Candidates who have experience in mixing batches of paint, adhesives, fillers or batch mixing of powders and liquids are encouraged to apply.
- Must be physically fit as the Mixing Operative role requires heavy manual lifting
- Ability to manually mix powders and liquids on a batch basis rather than automatically
- Ability to measure out accurately and be able to follow mixing and process instructions
- Flexible attitude towards shift patterns as the company develops and grows

Working hours = 40 hrs per week

- Currently operating Day Shifts, 8-5pm Monday to Thursday, 8-2.30pm on a Friday with a half an hour unpaid break at lunch time and 2 x 15-minute breaks during the day
