Purpose of the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the company as they implement their new strategy, focussing on homes, communities and early intervention. As a member of the Communications team, you will lead on our relationships with national, trade and financial sector journalists, and develop high quality case studies that demonstrate our social impact. You will shape effective communications programmes to raise the profile of our work with key stakeholders, using traditional media and social media channels.

Key Responsibilities

This will be a varied role, delivering across traditional media and social media channels. Key areas will include:

- Writing content for a range of outlets, including opinion pieces and blogs
- Developing relationships with key media outlets
- Developing and pitching media stories
- Proactive and reactive media relations
- Driving engagement through social media channels
- Reviewing financial promotions and ensuring compliance with regulations
- Supporting staff and directors to understand and promote key messages

Person Profile

Essential
- 3+ years relevant experience
- Commitment to supporting positive social impact in the UK
-Experience of working in at least one of the charity and social enterprise sector, financial services or investment management ((in-house or agency)
- First-hand understanding of UK national print, broadcast and digital media
- Proven track record of achieving positive media coverage
- Managing social media accounts
- Creative flair
- Strong writing skills, with attention to detail
- Collegial, team player
- Media monitoring

Desirable
- Experience and competency in:
o video/sound editing
o design packages including InDesign and Photoshop
- Experience of working in social investment/impact investment
