An exciting opportunity to join a growing company seeking a Project Engineer to lead projects valued from £50k - £1m from design stage to completion. The role is involved at tender, design and completion stage. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in Building Services Engineering (HVAC) and be from a mechanical bias background. The company is looking for somebody who is positive, enthusiastic and looking for the opportunity to grow and develop with the business. Majority of the work carried out is within the Yorkshire region.

Duties and responsibilities
Reporting to the director, the Mechanical Project Engineer will be responsible for several aspects of project works. Responsibilities will include but not exclusive to the following –
- Technical design and specification of Design and Build projects
- Design of projects using industry standard software
- Producing specifications and equipment selection
- AutoCAD drafting of schematics and services
o 3D experience is preferred
- Involvement in resolving on site design issues and attendance of design team meetings
- Oversight of projects paying attention to design issues
- Cost control of projects
- Procurement of plant and equipment
- Programming of works in line with construction phase plan
- Assistance with on site commissioning engineers ensuring all design parameters are adhered to
- Assist with technical and compliance queries
The successful candidate
The ideal candidate for the role of Mechanical Project Engineer should have the following profile –
- Experience with Mechanical Building Services (HVAC) sector
- Design background with ability to use industry standard design and 2D & 3D CAD software
- Commercial understanding of contracts and build process
- Degree or similar in Building Services Engineering preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Good knowledge of CDM & H&S regulations
