Fantastic opportunity to join a leading rolling stock engineering business that offers a comprehensive range of refurbishment, maintenance, overhaul, engineering support, project management, and repair services to the UK rail and light rail sector.

Operating from our two sites in Kilmarnock, Scotland and providing a mobile service to the rail industry over the length and breadth of the UK and Ireland.


Working as part of our Engineering team you will undertake innovative design and development work as well as resolving both simple and complex engineering issues on existing rolling stock.

Support the Engineering & Projects Manager in providing detailed engineering specifications and calculations from tender or initial brief, through the design and development stage, testing, manufacture and implementation any components needed for the project.

• Degree educated ( Mechanical Engineering preferred)
• Experienced engineer ( at least 5 years post graduate) within Rail Industry
• High level understanding of engineering drawings and writing technical documents / work instructions from them
• Capable of writing engineering reports and doing complex engineering calculations.
• Good at problem solving and finding innovative solutions to engineering issues
• Some experience within a Production Engineering environment would be helpful
• Able to manage conflicting priorities and communicate cross teams effectively


Salary c. £38,000 - £42,000 dependent upon skills and experience.

Based between our 2 sites in Kilmarnock, close to main transport links via road and rail. Free on-site car parking. Some UK wide travel may be required.
