Part-time Marketing Executive - 25-30 hrs per week

This company is a leading distributor of Afro Hair Care products in the UK/Europe.

About the role:
The Marketing Executive will be responsible for all the internal and external communications, category management at both retail and wholesale levels, from SKU performance analytics to being actively involved in evolving the brand strategies, marketing campaigns, research and day-to-day administration. You will work alongside a small team supporting their sales manager, reporting directly to the Managing Director.

This is a full-time role based in Watford but will include some field-based weekend work (promotions, events and exhibitions)

Important: You MUST drive your own car, as there is NO public transport to their office.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Update and maintain their websites.
- Write and coordinate engaging copy/content for Press releases, newsletters, magazines, brochures and flyers, working to strict deadlines.
- Experience with Photoshop/Illustrator/In Design would be desirable.
- Campaign Management - lead delivery of national campaigns, ranging from direct mail strategy to media selection, including proofing and ordering marketing materials
- Assume a range of responsibilities for all marketing activities/initiatives including administrative tasks.
- Responsible for new product development, customer insight and advertising
- Organise and attend various events, exhibitions & tradeshows
- Planning marketing strategies across the channels to maximize the marketing budget in the most effective way
- Day-to-day management of our 4 main social media platforms including content creation, scheduling a calendar for each brand. Analysing & reporting on the effectiveness of social campaigns & posts.
- Obtain quotes and liaise with purchasing department to source necessary items (e.g. point of sale material).
- Liaise with the designers, production departments for artworks, new product labels, etc…
- Attend meetings, offer opinions and make a positive contribution to the discussions.
- Assist in preparing presentations, displays, etc. for sales meetings and new product launches.
- Marketing their products within the amazon seller account.
- Any other reasonable duties as required

Skills and Qualifications
- At least two years’ experience in a marketing/brand management position.
- Knowledge of the afro-caribbean market would be an advantage.
- Strong creative, analytical and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Microsoft office proficient.
- Must be proactive, flexible and able to handle multitude of projects at one time.
- Can-do attitude
- Some knowledge of Photoshop and Wordpress is required.
- An experience with social media planners such as Hootsuite and Planoly is a bonus
- French or Spanish as a second language is also ideal but not essential
