This Greater Manchester based principal construction contractor with an energised and young culture is looking for an experienced Bid/Marketing Coordinator, who will report directly to the Business Development Director. The candidate will provide oversight and day-to-day delivery of the company’s marketing function and support the bid compilation process.

Experience of construction is preferable but not essential. Candidates must have marketing and bid experience in an industry which can be adapted to a career in construction. (Open to flexible working for the right candidate.)

The role will involve among other things;
- Copywriting and compiling Bid Documentation
- Developing and Coordinating the full marketing mix
- Feeding into the marketing strategy, and supporting the monitoring and delivery of it
- Producing Internal Communications
- Managing and updating the company CRM database
- Lead generation through targeted market exposure
- Maintaining their web presence and driving SEO
- Organising Press Releases and collating content
- Assisting with event organisation and management
- Involvement with CSR initiatives
- Controlling and leading on Social Media feeds
- Developing various marketing documents, inc; Case Studies, Brochures, MailShots
- Accessing Public Tender opportunities (using Portals) and triaging for Board Consideration
- Supporting the Business Development Director and Business Development Manager

The successful candidate is likely to have;
- Strong copywriting and language skills
- Qualifications in Marketing, Degree/HND/HNC/CIM.
- Experience of working independently or in a position of responsibility.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Competent using Adobe Professional software, InDesign and PhotoShop
- Well versed in using web development and CMS systems ie WordPress
- Experience in using e-marketing software, i.e. Mail Chimp, Hootsuite
- Experience using social media platforms, i.e LinkedIn, Twitter
- Ability to manage and develop a CRM system, ie Insightly, Dynamics
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to produce professional, memorable and beautiful looking documents
- An eye for detail and a naturally diligent attitude.
- Personable attitude and friendly telephone manner.

The business currently employs around 50 people, half of which are permanently based in their Manchester office, with the rest based on project sites. This young team is spread across a range of disciplines, including Estimating, Marketing, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Planning, Design, Operational & Finance, all supporting the site teams to deliver projects for clients in a progressive and partnering fashion.
