The role
The role is based within the Marketing team of the Membership division of the organisation. The Marketing Assistant will be responsible for communicating the value of joining and staying with the organisation for civil engineers and built environment professionals.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Provide support on communications to current and prospective members.
- Create/update in-house collateral such as flyers, ads, posters.
- Send marketing communications using an email software system (Communicator).
- Provide administrative support to the Lead Marketing Specialist.
- Liaise with external suppliers and place orders where required, e.g. printers, Rewards scheme, designers, video agencies, merchandise supplier.
- Liaise with internal communications team to promote Membership activity to staff.
- Organise Membership presence atconferences.
- Provide reports on performance of marketing activities.
- Respond to queries from members
What are they looking for?
The successful applicant will have experience of working within a marketing environment and of email marketing campaigns would be advantageous. An understanding of engineering/construction would be desirable.
The ideal new team member would have a positive can-do attitude, a desire to learn and be able to think outside the box. Strong attention to detail, time management and organisation skills would be important for this position.
