An ideal opportunity has arisen for a Marketing Assistant to join this not for profit union for education, early years & childcare professionals.

That’s why they offer a service that can enrich the working life of members. This role plays a key part in marketing them to their current members and potential new ones, along with membership activities.

This role is varied across marketing, admin and membership support:

- Prepare marketing materials for exhibitions, conferences, student/workplace visits etc. when required.
- Assist with targeted mailings, questionnaires, collating results.
- Stock control of marketing materials.
- Proof read new materials and Your Voice publication
- Send out regular campaign emails to prospective and current members.
- Collating and circulating monthly reports on customer service surveys.
- Assisting to develop and update the Voice website.
- Attend education exhibitions/recruitment fairs as a Voice representative and facilitate build up and break down.
- Arrange for the collection and delivery of marketing materials to venues.
- Provide back up for bookings for hotel accommodation, car, travel and catering, as holiday cover for other team members.
- Keep up to date with membership criteria, rates and offers by working within the membership department one day per week, taking telephone calls, processing new members and changes to membership records.

The successful applicant will possess –
- GCSE English or equivalent
- Administration experience within an office environment
- Good customer service skills and confidence to promote Voice
- IT Literacy skills on MS packages, with ability to use social media, emails and develop newsletters
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to work to conflicting deadlines
- Good telephone manner
- Accurate typing skills with good attention to detail
- Flexible approach to work and ability to work across two teams
- Ability and willingness to travel to exhibitions at various locations across the UK with weekend and evening working

The successful candidate will also ideally possess –
- Stock control management skills
- Proof reading / ability to check accuracy of documentation
- Experience of switchboard operation and taking messages
- Experience of creating online surveys
- Driving licence

Competitive annual salary commencing at £13,306 pa (review due April 2017), with annual increments leading up to £17,107 pa, based on 35 hour week. Training in marketing will be provided.
